Free UUCP Account
WebIndonesia offers UUCP Account. This account is accessible through
tcp/ip or by dialup to a phone number in Surabaya (area code 031).
This monthly service will be available free for schools and non-profit
organizations, altough there is a little investment cost to buy the
necessary hardware.
The service recipient must provide a minimum of:
- A modest PC to act as the UUCP gateway. A 486 with 16Mb is sufficient. Better spec will perform better. Cost approximately Rp. 500.000,-
- a modem. approx cost: Rp. 150.000,-
- a telephone line
WebIndonesia will provide free UUCP account and a telephone number to dial.
WebIndonesia is currently looking for partner(s) to provide free
installation and hopefully maintenance. Potential partner(s) please send
an email to louis at angin dot com.
Terms and Conditions:
- This service is available free only for Indonesian schools and
non-profit organizations.
- Whilst WebIndonesia is commited to give good effort in implementing
and maintaining the service, there is no warranty for this service.
WebIndonesia is not liable for any harm caused directly or non-directly
by the use of this service.
- Users of this service is assumed to understand some technical and
non-technical aspects of UUCP, or to have a consultant that understand
those aspects.
- The current maintainer is mdgr mailing list. Please contact
